Still Oct 14, 2010

Let me catch up a little. Really nice to finally meet Bob's Cousin Linda, Maurice & their sons Paul, Peter- girlfriend Sarah(hope I spelled it wright-- and "she's" a keeper!) We will meet Joseph on Sat. I have spoken to Linda and written but it is always nice to get the whole visual person-- and that ACCENT!!!! paaaawwk the caaaw!!! I love the accents!! I am really picking on her so now she calls them automobiles ha ha ha!!! We went to the Arnold Arboretum Of Harvard University-(pronounce it anyway you want) beautiful park. Horticulture students get their hands on training. My favorite was the Bonsai Garden, I wish I could quote the name of the man who started this but my brochure was mistakenly thrown away by some mysterious phenomenon...Anyway this garden was enclosed, no public access, and I can see why. The oldest Bonsai is 290 years old. There was a college group that came through and they We were able to access the the "locked round room" & listen to the teacher explain this whole- -come about with these plants, I get an F due to I still can't remember the man's name... Maurice Help me here!( also Maurice is pronounced Morris-(like the cat)Linda's hubby- (Bostonian Accent)We had a great walk through the park.
This gentleman (who's name escapes me) also designed Central Park. We are going to the estate of ??? beautiful grounds, and Linda said he has lots of "OLD CAWS" His name is Lars Anderson.
We went back to The O'Connor household for a fabulous dinner, "homemade Gnocchi" Chicken Parm, The eggplant antipasto WOW Linda GREAT DINNER!
Met Bob's other cousin Al today and he drove us around the outskirts of Boston
Today we went to the "Minute Man" great history really want to see more of this! Paul Revere's famous ride. They had a great short movie about the history of April 19, 1775 American Revolution. The grounds are still here!!! Lots of History...
We had a great lunch at La Cantina good Italian food. Al, Linda & Donna all grew up in Framingham saw old sights here where they grew up. Tomorrow we are going to the North End - Which is Boston's Little Italy, oh no more food! We will see some sights there, then we are going to Taza Chocolate, where Sarah works and have a tour! Linda has more places for us to see & we are taking the bus-trolley?? OK I know tomorrow "SSSSHHHH" "THE YANKEES"(MY BOYS) are playing, do I dare ask to watch a TV mmmmmmmmmmmmm I haven't heard any baseball talk so maybe I'm safe. GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess what "IT'S RAINING " POURING- they say lots tonight! Hopefully this will be gone by tomorrow fast moving storm they say.... Will try and get you some pics from the gardens too
