Happy Birthday JENNY!!!!! Hope you had a great day! It was good to talk to you!!!! Also another Libra birthday "Happy Birthday" to Mickey!!!!! All you wonderful Libra's this month, we are wonderful people aren't we!!! ha ha ha!!!
I have lots of pictures for you, I will try and list them in some sort of order and try to explain what they are. we had a great day in Boston. We went in with Linda and her son Paul. He is a trooper sprained ankle and all. We took the "T" (train) into Boston. We started off seeing Arlington Street Church, we couldn't get in it is being renovated, but what a beautiful building. Garden Park, George Washington on the horse, Linda told us the sword on his side, has been stolen numerous times so they just bought plastic ones when it has to be replaced. The park is really pretty and very well maintained. Bob and Paul with the frog in Tadpole Park famous for there big water fountains for the summer time. State Building, General Hooker, hadn't really heard of him, but he is how Hookers really got their name, mmmmm. General Hooker furnished women for his troops, in essence he was a pimp, but he had happy men!!! Moving on the building from the Famous "Boston Legal" couldn't get the whole building in but it was huge-Federal Court House. We went to the North End, which is Little Italy. We had a great lunch at Dolce Vita (Sweet Life). This restaurant was the real deal. You see all the Older Italian Men sitting at the bar with their wine and bread and other foods. We were greeted by a very sweet Italian man and he also kissed my hand, what a sweet gesture. I guess they do this for all new people. Linda has been here many times and it was a great meal & great company. Paul, Linda's son lives in Australia now so he has a very interesting accent, but definitely has the Aussie lingo going on!!! He has some very funny stories. We just propped his ankle up on a chair so he could rest it.
The next stop-- I have read about, and also seen on the Food Network-Mike's Pastry's OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The line wasn't out the door as it usually is, but it was crowded inside. They are famous for Cannoli and you would not believe all the different varieties. They of course had the regular yellow cream, but then you see so many more flavors. We decided on the regular, chocolate mousse, and chocolate covered, but what Paul really wanted was Cheesecake, and they had it too. So Strawberry it is, and those pieces were huge. Cookies cupcakes in every possible variety you could possibly want see the pictures of the Cannoli's-- unbelievable, and Morris was very happy they are his favorite. I had a couple bites this morning and put it away they were mmmmmmmmmmmmmm good!!! So Mike's Pastry is a must visit if you are ever in Boston and anyone who lives in Boston knows where it is. So much to see it's hard to get it all in, Next stop is St Leonard Roman Catholic Church, first Roman Catholic church in New England, built by all Italian Immigrants. Paul Revere on his horse, Last stop is Taza Chocolate where Sara works, interesting tour and good chocolate. Not sure if the video will show up right had problems with it. It was a fun day. Today we just hung around here, Linda and Morris came over to see the RV we took a walk around the park and this place is huge. A really nice club house, big fireplace and comfortable couches and chairs. There are alot of people here this weekend. Tomorrow is the New England Patriot Football game. We are just 5 mile from Gillette Stadium, SOLD OUT Bob wanted to go but not going to happen. The stadium is pretty spectacular. They have a huge shopping mall, a cinema, tons of restaurants. They also have Patriot Place which is a huge souvenir shop, we will go there Monday after all the craziness is gone. Tomorrow we are going over to Linda & Morris for dinner, all the family will be there so get to meet Donna Bob's other cousin (Linda's sister) and Joseph, Linda & Morris's other son. so I guess I said enough for now. enjoy the pictures. Monday we are going to Harvard, and I want to go to Salem, it is haunted month in Boston whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooo!!!!! Goodnight..xxxooo
