We had a great day today. The train ride was a success!!!! We left from the train station a just before 10:00 this morning and changed trains all went smoothly, alittle confusing but There were alot of other people who looked just as confused as we were. We got into Penn Station about 11:30. Had to meet our connection for the tickets for Jersey Boys, We were just a little skeptical about this. We were to go to a restaurant called "Tony's" and pick up the tickets. The gentleman I was speaking with during a few conversations was Erving real heavy NY accent but very funny. He called me when we were on the train this morning and he said "just go to the "Bar at TONY'S AND YOUR TICKETS ARE THERE. mmmmmmmm scam, hope not. We found Tony's on 43rd off Broadway.
A really nice restaurant, we felt better! The bartender had our tickets, People pick up tickets here for shows all the time. After we go to the show tomorrow we are going to go to Tony's for dinner. New York was GREAT today, and the weather was perfect! Not real crowded in the first part of the day. We were mostly in Time Square, Broadway , We even found Cookie Monster & Elmo.... Then we took the SUBWAY to go to Little Italy. This has changed alot since last time I was here. Unbelievable- China seems to have taken over a pretty good chunk of the area, what a pity, but we strolled through the streets, and all the sidewalk Ristorante's are still plentiful and the Aromas are Aaaaammmazing!!!!!!!!!!! They serenade you, trying to get you to come into their restaurant -- it's a competition with all of them trying to get people's attention, and funny to watch because all the restaurants are all so close to each other. Nice Sunshine, a nice bottle of Chianti, great food, and my BEST FRIEND!! We just sat and watched all the people, great afternoon. We found our way back to the subway, and did pretty good, a few questions here and there everyone is so helpful. Back to Penn Station- we even got our tickets for tomorrow so we are ahead of the game. Tickets for the show and our train, so far so good!!! We are going to the Empire State Building tomorrow before the show. My mom worked there. Weather is supposed to be warmer tomorrow, but chance of showers later in the day,--- so much for that weather report it just started pouring....well we'll just see about that... We had a great day today and I know tomorrow will be great too so here are some pictures. And Congratulations to the SF Giants Going to the World Series WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!
