There's no place like home! We made it!!!!! Lots of snow in the Siskiyou Pass but we hit it just right! The mountains were so beautiful and the roads were clear. We got home just in time. Skies opened up after we made it home Perfect timing...
Had a nice get together last night, and went out to dinner tonight. The rest of the week we need to UNPACK the RV!!! Staying home for Thanksgiving, looking forward to just being Home!
The mountains all around us are covered with snow we had a light dusting this morning, but all gone by early morning. It is cold. The high today was about 35. And tonight the low is supposed to be 19.....brrrrrrr!!
So I guess this is it. This RV trip has been everything & More! It's weird to be in the house & trying to remember where stuff is!!! We are definitely enjoying the space and longer showers!!!! Still going through all the mail--- To many magazines JEEZ!!! Thanks John & Donna for taking care of this for us! Dulcie thanks again for watching our house. So we will be home looks like until New Years then--"short road trip" Hope you all have a Very Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you have enjoyed traveling with us, it is something we will never forget. I was looking through some of the blog, and it is fun to look back at where we have been. We have lots of GREAT MEMORIES and have truly enjoyed every minute of it! So I will say good bye to you for now. What cute little nephews!!!!!! Gavin looks sooooo much like Joey did when he was little. He's a funny little guy. He's not real sure about his new little brother, Miles. Gavin doesn't like to be in the same room with him. When Miles makes any kind of sound Gavin just looks at him and says "the baby" and goes the other way. He'll get used to him Joey & Lauren! It was so cute they have a movie monitor in Gavin's room and you could just see him sitting in his little chair watching his little cartoons and just laying low!!!! He took to Bob real fast! And just looked at Bob and said, "he's Bob" --really cute!!!!!! Miles is a little snuggler he's so tiny and a beautiful baby boy, good job Joey & Lauren you make beautiful babies!!!! Hope you can get up to Oregon soon!!!
Had a very nice visit with Judy, Elaine & Dennis ( and just so you know who is who Judy is Bob's sister, Elaine is her daughter and of course we have Dennis Elaine's Husband, so know you know who's who) Tony it was good to see you too!!!!!!! And hope to see you all again real soon. Well we are turning in early tonight, We are trying to get an early start in the morning and are really hoping this weather through the Siskiyou Summit will stay clear till we get over it We want to go home!!!!! So keep your fingers crossed night night!!!!

Well another weather report--- "very wet"!!!!!!! And Snow in the mountains. We won't be heading that way until Monday sooooooooo STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway we are in Vacaville, CA. Almost home ( and not Winters) It's weird to be staying in an RV park right by where we used to live.
Got to to give Mom & Dad Phillips a nice surprise today, Kim & Mike too!!! Sorry such a short visit.....
Went to the Buckhorn for dinner tonight with Tony, Judy, Elaine & Dennis. Had a great time!! Thanks Judy! And I picked up all the Char Roast I can freeze for later uses mmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!! They had it all freezer packed for us!!!!
Sorry we didn't get to see you John & Nancy, plus know you two are not feeling real good right now NEXT TRIP!!! The RV park is pretty nice, we were kind of surprised. Passed it many times but never looked at it. Great for our next trip because it's centrally located to family and friends. Heard this real loud noise and forgot about the C-5's out of Travis AFB, and they are so big!!! We saw them coming in today on Highway 12. We are just running out of time. WOW we will be home on Monday weather permitting.......
Had a nice visit with my cousin and Aunt in Brea, CA. Out hearts and prayers are with you all. And I am just a phone call away cuz!!!!!!! Love you so much Aunt Carol!!!!!
Tomorrow we get to get to meet our little nephews Gavin (finally) and the newest edition to the "Magnificent Mitchell's" would be Miles--- as Joey now calls them! Great name I think t-shirts ha ha ha!!!! Happy Birthday to my Baby Baby brother Joey!!!!!! And you know how I'm saying it Joey!!!! ha ha ha again(personal joke) And to my Baby Brother Ross Hope to see you tomorrow.. maybe at Joey's??? Good to talk to you tonight.. love you so much! And speaking of Birthdays Happy Birthday to Our Sweet Granddaughter Dani!!!!!! Her b-day was 11-19 hope you had a great day sweetie!!!! Haven't been on my blog for a couple of days.. What happens next.. "Oh no what will I do!!!! And what will YOU Read!!!!!!!!!! Well I guess we have to save it for our next ROAD TRIP!!!! Oh that word scares me now!! Just kidding. I wish I had a picture from tonight I left my camera in the RV I will get some tomorrow we still have time left, and I'm already planning my finale!!!! Are you ready???? We are in Blythe, CA right on the Colorado River---REALLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! The weather is perfect. When we got here @ 1:00 it was about 81 and tonight it's around 8:00 now and still 72....Great RV park, nice beach area, they have a boat launch area, people come here and take their boats to Lake Havasu. We will be in Pomona, CA tomorrow for the next few days visiting some family in the area so will try and keep my last little blogs coming.. Wow we are almost HOME!!!! Enjoy the pictures from today, Oh and if I forgot to tell you......Dulcie did by now......we will be HOME ON MONDAY!!!!!! I can't keep a secret!!!! OK so now you know!!! so we'll see y'all soon!!!!!

We are in Casa Grande, AZ. The weather is perfect. We got here around 3:00 and it was 76, it's about 7 at night and still have the windows and door opened. I can see why people want to come here in the Winter months. Nice big RV sites and pretty mountains. We are only here over night, and will be in Blythe, CA tomorrow staying on the Colorado River, sounds really nice, We don't have a very long drive either and that always makes for a good day!!! We will be visiting family in SO CA for a few days, and just slowly making our way up towards Oregon. We really like this warm weather, mmmmmmmmm... and are looking forward to coming back to AZ in March or maybe Feb???? The only thing I can say that has been bad is my allergies. They tell us it is sagebrush, and I guess it's very bad this time of year. So will keep that in mind, and hope it won't be like this in March!!!! We saw a whole mess of NASCAR Trucks coming back from the Phoenix race, that was yesterday, couldn't get pictures cause they were coming the other way oh well. Bob was so mad he found out Tony Stewart was in a Sprint Car Race on Saturday night in Las Cruces, NM right by where we were staying. Evidently Tony flipped in his car, but guess he's OK. To bad that would have been fun race to go to ,the sprint races are fun to watch even though you get all gritty from all the dirt..... First off We have a "Brand New Nephew"!!
"Miles Ross Mitchell" came into this world on Nov. 9, 2010 Weighing in at a whopping 8 lbs 6 0z (wow Lauren) and 21 inches. PERFECT HEALTH!!! Just got the news tonight. Was about ready to call you, have not checked my e-mail the other one so I apologize for that!!! Congratulations Joey & Lauren-- and Gavin is a big brother!!!! Love the pictures and can't wait to see you next week. It was good to talk to you both and all sounds great!!!!
So where are we now?? We are in Las Cruces, New Mexico. We left this morning and it was COLD! We were in the middle of nowhere, Sorry Pat lost you in the desert, bad cell phone signal call you tomorrow!!!!! Better road -no wind or bumps---- but then SNOW!!!! At least we didn't have to be there when it did snow we just saw the results!!! Much better. Just a dusting but it sure made a pretty sight with the sun.
We went through White Sands, but didn't stop. Now I know what you meant Donna & John, Wow this is where the American Missile was born! Hillborn AFB. Glad I don't live here. Huge missile testing sight. Is this where that strange sight in the sky in CA came from the other day ???? Hush Hush right-- no one knows. And now it's old news.....
So now we are in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and this RV park is NICE!!!! Had our margarita party tonight! Met some people from Florence, OR.. Had a nice chat with others as well.
The RV sites are really neat. They are all nice gravel, and they rake them as soon as you leave so it looks like no one has ever been there!!! Nice club house, big fire place outside. I'll get some picture tomorrow my battery went dead in the camera. Someone forgot to charge it!!!! The Temperature was about 65 today, nice and sunny which made our car look really bad it was SOOOOOOOOO dirty! Bob insisted CAR WASH!!! Being towed behind the RV made a mess today, Now it's all pretty again!! When we came back tonight the one mission was to figure out where next and for how long. I have made THE FINAL RESERVATIONS!!!!!! We are booked--- and will be back in OREGON .... mmmmmmmmmmmm?????
I'm not telling you we are going to surprise you!!!!!! A REAL QUACK ATTACK!!! GO DUCKS!!!!
We really are missing Oregon and all the the WONDERFUL FRIENDS we have there! Great phone call last night! The phone was passed one by one and a "CHEERS" call we truly miss!!!! Can't wait to see all you Crazy People! And "ERNIE" NO ROAD TRIPS, Until New Years OK!!!!! Just want to thank Dulcie for taking care of our house-- We forget what it looks like!!!! What a ride!!! We had the worst wind and BUMPY Roads in Oklahoma today!!
We stayed at a nice RV park last night in Salisaw, OK. The weather was really warm and no WIND. We were only there overnight, but got a few pictures of a nice sunset. To bad no campfires allowed in park. The park we are in tonight is less desirable, but it's just for overnight. The wind is still blowing, It got up to 40 mph today!!!tomorrow are going to Santa Rosa, New Mexico.
We will be there for two nights. Tomorrow is a travel day -- Bob is not feeling to good right now, has a cold, and a cough so he's feeling pretty crappy. I'll make him some chicken soup tonight and grilled cheese. WOW NEWS FLASH----Bob almost swallowed a fly eeeeewwww it was in his Brandy (cold remedy) He caught it in time at least he didn't swallow it...uuughh! So one more day then he can rest. Then on to Friday we are going to Las Cruces, New Mexico and we will be there over the weekend, then he gets a nice rest again, I am getting a sore throat too!!! NOOOOOO!! Hope the weather stays warm. Our weekend RV Park has a Margarita Night on Friday Woo Hoo!!! So we are getting closer to home! We will be in So. California by Mon. Or Tues. My aunt is not doing real well so we will stop and visit with her-- Love you Aunt Carol!! I know my blog is winding down awwwwww!! Boo hoo!!! I have had so much fun with it and hope you have enjoyed it. I know I get Chatty(right marla) but There was so much to say!!! I wish everyone could have an experience like this. We have seen so much and We know we only saw a part of this "Great Country" we live in. Really missing home now and we are ready to get back!
