Well let's start here. Glacier National Park West Entrance "Going to the Sun Road" WOW what a sight this is!! We took so many pictures cause every view was better than the LAST an so on and so on!!!! This is probably one of the most Beautiful places I have ever seen and Bob 2nds it!! It got a little scary up by what is called Logans Pass (the Loop)due to a bear sighting. People were stopping and getting out of their cars for a photo opportunity...Well Bob got out of the car and I was creeping alongside him in the car. He was making me very nervous because he was up on the wall taking a video and walking along this "very" steep ledge & the drop downside of the mountain, and there is a GRIZZLY BEAR down there HELLLO!! Well he got the video and definitely the bear voicing his/her opinion at the people who were to close to him/her could have been a cub too, needless to say he hit the off button and missed the bear! At least I still have my husband!! No DETOURS I told him!! I have been trying to put the video on here but It's not cooperating will keep trying. The thing that makes me really wonder is alot of people go hiking up in these Rocky Mountains, which is fine, but some of these idiots have no idea what could happen to them, so they just put on some COW BELLS and arm themselves with BEAR SPRAY!! YEAH YOU'RE PROTECTED!!!! JEEZ! For hikers with common sense I hope good for you and hope your safe but there is no way I would attempt it. I'll stay in the car. Well we just kept driving along and stopping at the points where we could safely.
There is also alot of construction going on up there. Some areas are closed down to one lane, talk about close calls. Whew! They have these tours buses up there and could just squeeze by our car I pulled in my side mirror and could touch the person in the next car if I wanted to. All we can say about this part of our trip is if you ever have the opportunity to go to this Wonder of the World DO IT by all means!!!!
Next stop Lethbridge, Alberta (Canada) off to see those crazy Canadians!!!! EH!!
Well after listening to our Lovely GPS Lady, who Bob now calls BIOTCH, (I keep telling him she not a real Person) Kept trying to make us make a u turn and go in the opposite direction. Thanks for the directions Alan, if it wasn't for those we would still be making U turns ha ha ha!!!
Crossed the border with no problems only car in line at this checkpoint. First speed sign we see is Maximum 100, Bob said oh boy!! Well kilometer is 60mph. ha ha!!
Found out to calculate you multiply the speed by 6 and that gives you your speed mph vs. kph.
Bev & Alan have a beautiful home and gave us the greatest place to stay. They have a full finished basement apartment and couldn't have been more comfortable, and the price was good too!!! We went out to dinner at Ric's Grill. It is a converted water tower that overlooks the city of Lethbridge. Great view. Food was excellent as well as the company. Nice sunset will put some pictures of glacier park and our Dinner At Ric's then more stuff to tell you but have to fix dinner.. no breaks eh!!!!
